N2n celebrated 50 years of community impact on July 27th, 2019 at the Carnegie Center for creativity. There was fundraising for future success, good food and drink, and live music by Soul Revival! This was our largest rent party to date.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How does my support benefit Neighbor to Neighbor?
Your support at this event will make a lasting impact on the lives of our neighbors. We have set a goal to prevent homelessness for 200 local families with the funds raised at our 50th Birthday Benefit auction and paddle raise.
That’s a good goal, any others I should be aware of?
In addition to raising funds for our eviction prevention services, we are also hoping to find 50 folks that will volunteer to host a Rent Party to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor within the next year.
Wait, what’s a Rent Party?
So glad you asked! Rent Parties started in the 1920’s as a way for families facing eviction to stay in their home. Basically, someone close to the family would host a house party and they would pass the hat to raise money for the family’s rent. Since neighbors helping neighbors stay in their homes is what we’re all about, we have decided to mimic the rent parties from the 1920’s and ask our supporters to host their own rent parties. You can learn more about rent parties here.
Is this event in addition to the Polo Championship?
While we had so much fun hosting Polo for five years, we couldn’t resist throwing ourselves a birthday party to celebrate how amazing the past 50 years of service have been. This got us thinking that we could host a big Rent Party every year for our annual fundraiser, instead of the Polo Championship. We hope to continue the fun, celebratory atmosphere that Polo had, while focusing on our mission and service to our community.
Ok, no polo hats; so what should I wear?
Cocktail attire, with a hint of gold glam is suggested. Please note there will not be seating for everyone and the venue has mixed terrain like grass and cobblestone walkways, so please plan your shoes accordingly.
What is included in my ticket?
We will have an open bar with beer, wine and select cocktails. We will also have heavy appetizers, dessert, plus live music from Soul Revival!
Where should we park?
Since this event takes place in Old Town, please plan a bit of extra time to find parking. There’s parking available on surrounding streets and the closest parking garage is located at the corner of Mountain Ave and Remington St, which is only a block away from the venue.
Why did you choose this unique venue for the event?
We fell in love with the courtyard that features historic Fort Collins homes and felt that it was the perfect place for us to celebrate our history of preserving homes in Larimer County!
