The mission of Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) is to open doors and advance lives from homelessness through homeownership by providing sustainable housing, supportive services, and education to the Larimer County community. We envision communities where everyone has opportunity and access to a stable home. Since 1970, N2N has provided housing stability services to residents of Larimer County. Annually, we secure stable housing for thousands of local households by preventing homelessness and displacement, providing budget education, youth programs, and homeownership education, and by operating affordable apartments for families and individuals.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Resident Housing Coordinator provides support to residents and families at Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N)’s housing communities. N2N’s Resident Housing Coordinators work to create positive relationships with N2N residents, support leasing functions such as move-ins and ensure families understand their N2N lease requirements and provide community referrals as needed. Neighbor to Neighbor’s multi-family residential apartments is located primarily in North Fort Collins with a few apartments also in Loveland.
N2N is a long-time nonprofit organization focused on housing access and opportunity for residents of Larimer County. N2N provides a positive and appreciative environment for dedicated and supportive staff to innovate, produce, and collaborate with diverse community partners and empower clients.
REPORTS TO:
Property Manager
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and celebrate resident success and engage in N2N’s positive and supportive team culture
- Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of issues
- Facilitate N2N’s Eviction Prevention Program to help families maintain housing by addressing violations at the time of offense to promote accountability and resident success
- Maintain current and updated resident files with necessary information including certifications and inspections to maintain compliance
- Serve as a trusted resource to empower N2N residents while supporting N2N policies and procedures
- Conduct resident assessments to support resident goals and track progress
- Assist residents with obtaining referral resources for various needs such as job training, benefits, health care, education, childcare, etc., and update documentation
- Work in partnership with and communicate regularly with Property Management to help facilitate the delivery of services, support individuals, implement policies, resolve disputes, implement payment plans, ensure file compliance, support maintenance needs, and inspections, etc.
- Support residents in emergency situations, providing interventions or referrals as appropriate
- Provide support and accurate information to prospective and current residents
- Process applications and secure deposits in accordance with appropriate procedures
- Complete timely move-in, move-out, and renewal processes including orientation to the community, explanation of N2N programs, Rent Café database, file compliance, inspections, etc
- Ensure property standards and house rules are upheld and the process is followed to ensure a fair process.
- Maintain and facilitate open communication with residents and the property team through written and verbal communication
- Distribute company or community-issued notices, collaborating with N2N’s admin team as needed
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
- Ensure policy and Fair Housing compliance
- Collaborate with other N2N teams
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- At least 1+ years’ experience in property management, social services, or customer service
- Section 8 or Tax Credit experience is highly preferred
- Must be customer-service-driven and detail-oriented
- Microsoft Office and computer knowledge (preferred)
- Yardi Systems database experience (preferred, not required)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have dependable transportation
JOB TYPE:
The Resident Housing Coordinator position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The hourly pay rate is $25.oo. The position will require sitting at a computer, meeting with clients, and reliable transportation to apartment communities throughout Fort Collins and Loveland. This position is eligible for benefits, including paid time off (PTO), health/dental/vision/life insurance, bilingual pay, and a 401k match.
