Section 8 Apartments: Neighbor to Neighbor has 2 project-based Section 8 programs. This means that qualifying low-income families pay no more than 30% of adjusted monthly income toward rent and the difference is subsidized by HUD.
Section 8 offers direct rent assistance. Families who earn 30% or less of the Area Median Income guidelines may qualify for Section 8 Housing. For example, a family earning less than $20,040 per year might be a candidate for Section 8 Apartments. The current wait list for a Neighbor to Neighbor Section 8 Apartment is 13 months.
